LINKIN PARK Earns 11 New Platinum-Single Certifications Following CHESTER BENNINGTON's Death

On August 4, eleven songs spanning  LINKIN PARK 's entire catalog received  new platinum certifications  from the  Recording Industry Association of America  ( RIAA ). "One Step Closer" ,  "Waiting For The End"  and  "Leave Out All The Rest"  earned their first platinum records, while  "What I've Done" ,  "Bleed It Out" ,  "Shadow Of The Day" ,  "New Divide" ,  "In The End" ,  "Numb" ,  "Burn It Down"  and the  Jay-Z  collaboration  "Numb/Encore"  added multi-platinum certifications. CHESTER BENNINGTON Chester Charles Bennington  (March 20, 1976 – July 20, 2017) was an American singer and songwriter best known as the frontman for the rock band Linkin Park. He was also the lead singer for Dead by Sunrise and fronted Stone Temple Pilots from 2013 to 2015. Bennington first gained prominence as a vocalist following the release of Linkin Park's debut album,  Hybrid Theory , in 2000, which became a commercial success. The album was certified Diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America in 2005, making it the best-selling debut album of the decade, as well as one of the few albums ever to hit that many sales. Linkin Park's following studio albums, from  Meteora  (2003) to  One More Light  (2017), continued the band's success. Chester Bennington's Death Certificate Reveals New Details

Chester Bennington ‘s death certificate has been released. The  Linkin Park  singer committed suicide at age 41 two weeks ago at his home in Palos Verdes Estates in California. The new document from the L.A. County Department of Health, obtained by TMZ, reveals that the exact cause of death was hanging by belt. TMZ also reported that  Chester  was found hanging from a door in his bedroom, similar to how his good friend  Chris Cornell  took his own life back in May.  Chester  committed suicide on  Chris ‘s birthday.
